About Dr. Prakhyat Roop
He specializes in cornea and ocular surface disorders, refractive surgeries and complicated cataract surgeries. Dr. Prakhyat has the distinction of being awarded for innovations in intraocular lens optics by the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), the All India Ophthalmic Society (AIOS) and the Young Ophthalmologists’ Society of India (YOSI). Notably, he is the only eye surgeon in the world to win in the Innovator’s competitive session at the ASCRS twice in a row. He has two international and six Indian patent rights in his name in the field of ophthalmology.
