Dr. Prakhyat Roop is the Founder & Director of Acura Vision, Meerut, and a leading Cornea, Cataract & Refractive Surgeon. Trained at AIIMS New Delhi, he specializes in cataract, refractive and corneal surgeries, with six granted IOL patents.

About Dr. Prakhyat Roop

Dr. Roop is both a practising surgeon and a translational scientist. He is actively developing, refining and evaluating presbyopia-correcting intraocular lenses through a unique protocol of in-vivo assessment using pyramidal aberrometry technology. His refractive practice is built around lenticule extraction on the CLEAR Supra platform (Ziemer FEMTO LDV Z8) — Acura Vision is the first centre in Western UP to offer lenticule-extraction refractive surgery.

As a cornea and keratoconus specialist, he offers the full spectrum of care, from collagen crosslinking through to advanced lamellar and endothelial keratoplasty, and is an invited international faculty member lecturing on CLEAR Supra at the Chinese and Taiwanese cataract & refractive surgery society conferences and the Singapore National Eye Centre. For patients, this means access to techniques and technology usually available only at the largest academic centres — delivered locally in Meerut.
